Entre-Temps
In Entre-Temps, France's most mischievous choreographer brings together nine dancers with rich backgrounds, exploring their past to speak of the present. A profoundly human show.
In a stripped-down aesthetic, Philippe Decouflé sets out to construct a scenic language woven of many different times: that of the past, but also that of dreams, of walking, of everyday life, of déjà vu, of eternal return... The set elements and the performers' bodies are themselves inscribed in time, each in its own place. From classical ballet to cabaret, from traditional to contemporary dance, Entre-Temps summons and blends their choreographic memories to magnify the beauty of artists of all ages. The show moves to the rhythm of Gwendal Giguelay's piano, as in the days of silent cinema or early dance classes, and plays on the simultaneity of different temporalities, repetition-variation, temporal loops, mirror effects... With this walk through the meshes of time, Philippe Decouflé celebrates the extraordinary power of dance.
