El teatro

A blend of laughter and emotion, the play follows a troupe of actors in the hours leading up to a major celebration. As they prepare tributes and farewells, old loves, grievances, wounds and everything that was never said resurface.
A fictional story about a community celebrating its history and, in doing so, also confronting us with our own.

The play forms part of the Theater Project, an initiative Rambert has been developing since 2018 in collaboration with companies from various countries, including Portugal’s D. Maria II National Theatre, the Comédie-Française, the German National Theatre in Timișoara, Romania, and the Croatian National Theatre ‘Ivan pl. Zajc’ in Rijeka. For each production, Rambert brings together a cast to celebrate and, from this coming together, crafts an original story.
This production will also hold special significance: it will mark Alejandra Wolff’s departure from the National Comedy Theatre’s permanent company, after nearly three decades with the institution.
