Derniers remords avant l'oubli

Add to my favorites

"Last remorse...that's when you were twenty, twenty-five, believing in it...nature, community, the world saved by Art, and so on. the three of us would buy a farmhouse, fix it up, write poems to each other, love each other, but...
Last remorse...it's when you're forty, and you say to yourself that selling this little second home in the country would make quite a bit of money to finish paying for the big car, the loft in town, the kids' education..
That anyway, it was ridiculous this bohemian life for three, the poetry, the art...we're sure of it today, we've matured, we're no longer teenagers...but one Sunday all the same, a long time later, we meet there, just to say it to each other maybe one last time (before oblivion?)..."
