De ce côté
A theater at the bottom of exile.
Became a public enemy in Congo, Dido left Brazzaville in the middle of a performance after a bomb attack. Since he's been in exile, the former actor has taken refuge in France at the back of a bar bought on credit, where stand-up shows come and go. But what legitimate place can he hope to have here, when he's left behind the essentials - his family and the theater? In this one-man show, actor and author Dieudonné Niangouna embraces autofiction to tell the story of his life in France, "on that side" where the past haunts the present. In a finely chiseled text, the artist retraces the course of his history to confront its demons and reconnect with the political breath of art. A dramatic poem like a rebirth, a hymn to the power of engaged theater!
