In this physical and sonic performance, Les Idoles imagine a factory of collective metamorphoses. Bodies deform, skin stretches, matter oozes, textures are revealed, on the verge of trouble.

In their first duo REFACE (2023), Les Idoles laid the foundations for a work around metamorphosis. Based on the principle of living morphing, bodies and faces passed from one state to another, in a continuous fabrication of unstable identities. Following on freely from this initial research, this new creation extends the exploration to an entire group. Inspired by body horror, cyborg thought and queer narratives, the performance offers a sensory, plastic and sonic journey. In a laboratory where the human and the non-human, the organic and the artificial, hybridize, bodies assemble, merge and become a collective anatomy, one and the same matter in mutation. Halfway between a cabinet of curiosities and a dissection table, the stage exposes bodies as surfaces for study and manipulation. An open construction site where identities are cobbled together, erased and added to, a living factory where everything is reinvented before our very eyes, right on our skin.
