Attitude clando
Born in 1976, Dieudonné Niangouna is an actor, author and director, and director of the Mantsina sur scène international theater festival in his native Brazzaville. In the 1990s, during the years of constant civil war in the Republic of Congo, he worked successively with the Salaka company, the Deso company and the Théâtre d'Art Africain, before creating, with his brother Criss, the Les Bruits de la rue company in 1997. An acclaimed actor, he then revealed himself as a protean author whose plays were performed in Brazzaville as well as in France. He alternates between more classical dialogue-based plays and more explosive, subversive writing, inspired by the poetic language of Sony Labou Tansi, such as Attitude clando and My name is. He writes only to get in touch with his contemporaries, in immediacy and sometimes urgency, in his own country and around the world, wherever people are willing to welcome him, in theaters and outside theaters, making a mockery of borders, leaping over the barriers that men have artificially installed.
