Anatomie d’un suicide

Ajouter à mes favoris

Three women - a mother, her daughter and her granddaughter - tell their stories in three different eras - from the 1970s to the 2040s - but their stories embodied simultaneously on stage interweave and echo each other powerfully.

In a play of virtuoso architecture, ten actors embody twenty-seven characters in search of identity. British author Alice Birch, screenwriter of award-winning series (Succession, Normal People...), reinvents the dramatic form and signs a hard-hitting, funny and moving work, unseen in France. Through the destinies of Carol, Anna and Bonnie, she explores the question of family heritage, as well as the torments of marriage and motherhood. Her writing, brief and incisive, unfolds in a highly musical score of infinite precision, which gradually takes the form of an ode to life.
