3 Annonciations

Three actresses on stage, Silvia Costa, Barbara Lennie alternating with Itsaso Arana, and Audrey Bonnet, reappropriate the mystery of the Annunciation played out between the Virgin Mary and the angel Gabriel, embodied by each of them in their native languages. Three monologues in Italian, Spanish and French. Three performative speeches dig into this groove, questioning it today and drawing it into the modern world. In this setting, the audience becomes the repository of revelation, in a position to receive, in the Virgin's state of listening.

What could be announced in our time? What might contemporary announcements be? The coming ecological catastrophe? The end of the world? The advent of new times? A step backwards? All is open and imagination is king.
