Nikolai Ogrousky enters the stage. For the first time, he dares to speak publicly. He wants to tell his story, to tell the truth. Because since time immemorial, we've all thought we knew what happened that night in the house in the middle of the forest, but we've only heard the other side of the story. We only really know the story of his sworn enemy, the one who caused his disgrace, his ruin, his downfall. So the ogre takes to the stage, and with the help of puppets, sets and popular imagery, he re-enacts for us what he experienced long ago, retracing the whole story step by step, pebble by pebble. The ogre wants to prove his innocence and the malignity of Poucet, the little one.
