Trois fois Ulysse
This is the story of a return, perhaps the most famous in literature, the return of Ulysses. A poem of strength, a eulogy of glory, it's been twenty-nine centuries since we bowed our heads.
Ten years of war, ten years to return. And all the while, violence, murder, but also love, tears and solitude. Women are goddesses, lovers and wives. For the Odyssey is a tale of men.
Hecuba does not feature, as she symbolizes the massacre of Troy. Penelope appears in a few lines, only her faithful expectation is brandished by men. And Calypso, with whom Ulysses spends the most time (seven years almost eight), also surrenders even though she truly loves him.
Ulysses wants to go home, to Ithaca. To be a living hero. Ulysses is unique; all his companions are dead. Penelope and Helen are just excuses. But what Penelope has learned in twenty years, he doesn't know.
