Trilogie de la guerre

After the outbreak of war in Ukraine, their exile, and their political persecution, Elina Kouliko and Dima Efremov began working on a musical trilogy. The project’s development follows the course of the war and the reactions it provokes, while drawing on biographical and poetic elements. In these performances, they speak—or rather, sing—in the first person, as witnesses and unwitting participants in this war. In this theatrical triptych, each piece takes a different theatrical and musical form, ranging from folk to pop. They also offer three ways of approaching one of the most difficult subjects: war—especially when it is waged in the name of one’s own country.
