There are five of them who, in turn, take on the role of a person with a shifting identity. They accompany him through different stages of his life.

This person is one of those we call ‘the poor’ – poor because of the vagaries of birth, the twists and turns of life, and circumstances beyond their control. No one is immune.

Through the lives of Antoine, Antonella, Anton, Antonio, Antoinette and Antonia, the five actors come to question their own relationship with poverty.

What is poverty? How should we respond to it? How can we continue to live in a society where the gap between the richest and the poorest is widening?

What can we do as individuals? As a community?
