A young actress is in the middle of building a show about the actress Maria Schneider. She invites us to the final preparations. Through this open rehearsal, she plays with the codes of theater. Sometimes she plays Maria, other times she confides in us, exposing her doubts and appearing by turns candid, serious, funny, extralucid.

She asks herself questions, following the journey of Maria Schneider, a few years her senior.
