Sens la foudre sous ma peau
Jo, originally from Réunion, is a French teacher in Marseille. She loves today’s teenagers—the ones she sees every day—who are quite different from the teenagers she knew back on her island. In Jo’s classroom, hormones are running wild—to the point of making your head spin. Baya, a boy-chaser, confides in Adélaïde that intimate relationships scare her; Adélaïde, for her part, asks Karl to be her “first” in the hope that she’ll then be less afraid to give herself to the guy she’s in a virtual relationship with. But Karl is more attracted to Nathan, who, in turn, prefers Adélaïde… This play explores the complex relationships between girls and boys today, but also, more broadly, other themes, notably the differences in reality between the overseas territories and mainland France.
