In the dead of night, a brother and sister find themselves, in turn, at the edge of a ditch on a country lane, in a kitchen and in the front seat of a car. Tongues are loosened, accusations fly, and questions are forbidden.
How did it come to this? It took the death of someone for them to finally be able to talk to one another. Inspired by the cases of Jacqueline Sauvage and Valérie Bacot, this text poses a question: when you are alone and abandoned by everyone, can you find a way to survive without responding to violence with violence?
