Perched on his bed, the child sees his fear approaching. A great fear, followed by other fears and Mr Dark Thoughts. Every night, they come to nestle in his tummy and tighten their grip on his throat. Fortunately, the old man is there to keep the child company through the night. Together, they’ll share their anxieties and learn to tame them.
With humour and tenderness, Marie Suel plays with the monsters lurking in the dark. A text told in two voices – to be read, recited, acted out or sung – which shows us that nothing is too hard to face when you’re in good company.
