Ravie

Blanquette, Monsieur Seguin’s seventh goat, is terribly homesick, shut away in her master’s pen. She longs for freedom. She wants to see the mountains. She wants to see the wolf! It must be said that the chorus of goats that haunts her nights, painting a picture of a wolf that is both alluring and terrifying, and of a possessive, intractable and cowardly Monsieur Seguin, makes the lovely Blanquette’s legs go wild.

Through her rhythmic and resonant language, Sandrine Roche plays with words to deliver an unconventional take on Alphonse Daudet’s famous short story, transforming all these goats locked up in their master’s hut into revolutionary heroines yearning for freedom.
