Andrej, a recent graduate, struggles to get his first job; Martina, from a well-to-do social background, dreams of an organic farm but is given to shabby jobs; Mani, a brilliant young academic, is out of work; Freya, just laid off, longs for revenge; Peter, homeless, has become a street marketing expert... Jonas Hassen Khemiri interweaves the fates of these figures so close to us with exemplary dramatic irony. They all unwillingly contribute to feeding capitalism through their consumption and their quest for a better daily life. And they all suffer the crisis of a breathless financial model that pits them against each other in an anonymous competition where every aspect of their lives is now governed by money.

Borrowing a variety of forms, from lecture to interior voice, from harangue to mixed dialogue, this jubilant text offers ideal material for a troupe of 4 to 20 actors. Reviving Brechtian epic and didactic plays, it uses humor to decipher the economic system.

The author calls out to us via his characters: "Now get up and walk the world to change it."
