Not Koko’s notes
Language
French
Raised by her grandmother, who introduced her to storytelling and singing, Koko got off to a very promising start on stage and on television. Unfortunately, her career came to a sudden halt just as she was on the verge of fame after she sang, during an official ceremony one evening, a song that struck too close to home for the ruling couple. To avoid serious trouble, she chose to go into exile in Paris before deciding, to everyone’s surprise, to stop singing. Nono, the daughter of a prominent figure close to those in power, would like to sing like her idol Koko. But her authoritarian father has other ambitions for her.
