Liah et moi
Liah and I is a science-fiction play rooted in very contemporary tensions between nature and technology, freedom and control, humanity and artifice. The story takes place in the near future, in an ultra-connected society governed by an authoritarian regime based on surveillance, profitability, and standardization.
Faced with this, a couple of scientists makes the radical choice to go into exile in a marginal zone, known as the “black zone,” to raise their future children in a slow, organic, living world—in close contact with nature, animals, and plants.
Frankie is born first. Four years later, Liah arrives. But Liah is not like other children: she was secretly created by their mother using old artificial intelligences, memories, and emotional and sensory data.
