Les Enchantements
It's summer at Les Enchantements. Overwhelmed by the heat, everyone is dreaming of somewhere else: Dubai or Marseille, it doesn't matter, as long as there's the sea.
While the darlings are at the café and the kids are defilenting towards the irretrievably closed municipal swimming pool, a golden plan is hatched. To pass the time and earn money, two groups of teenagers fleurir pools on top of buildings, engaging in an enflammy competition that pits filles against boys. Water, like life, infiltre everywhere.
Clémence Attar extracts a lively urban poetry from the "muffled sounds of the big estates", and aptly transcribes the rituals, attitudes and words of adolescence. A polyphonic text with overflowing humor that depicts the life of a community redoubling its creativity.
