Le silence de Claire Lagrange
Language
French
In the communal space of a psychiatric care home separated from the city by a thick, dark forest, Claire Lagrange paints mechanically, in silence, with children's gouache. Jean and Silvia stare at her, astonished: her extreme slowness contrasts with the agitation with which she arrived a few days earlier. Madame, a member of staff, runs from room to room, overwhelmed by numbers, grids, lists... and that crack she needs to take care of. On the other side of the forest, Madame Lagrange, Claire's mother, is lost in a flood of words, questions and memories: she could never have imagined that such an event would arise in her family... Will she finally agree, as her grandson Romeo asks, to go and visit Claire?
