Le Futur
Their paths might never have crossed. But they did. Diana has a score to settle with her father. Halim is trying to join his fiancée in Stockholm. He has left his war-torn country behind, leaving his past behind him. As for Diana, she has but one hope of making peace with her future: to meet the philosopher Hennig Tössberg in Stockholm. So Diana decides to accompany Halim to Sweden, at the wheel of her father’s luxury car. Together, they will travel across a Europe that has withdrawn into itself, marked by phantom borders. In his rucksack, Halim carries the debris of a bomb: fragments of memory, so as not to forget. They stop in Denmark, where Alfredo, Diana’s father, is taking part in a European political rally. She wants him to meet Halim. The situation comes to a head. Diana and Halim set off again. But Alfredo insists on continuing the journey with them. Upon arriving in Stockholm, Halim goes off on his own to join his fiancée, whilst Alfredo and Diana track down Professor Tössberg. They discover that the professor is a woman. A welcoming woman who offers them hospitality. Early the next morning, Alfredo has to drive off; he’ll be back soon.
