La métamorphose des cigognes
Molière Award for the 2022 ‘Seul en scène’ show.
Fertilisation in humans occurs when the sperm and the egg meet inside the woman’s body. For a whole host of reasons, it sometimes happens that the sperm cannot meet the egg inside a woman’s body. In that case, what do we do? Well, we take some sperm, we take some eggs, we mix them together and wait a few days for it to take hold
If it takes hold, it produces a blastocyst
And this blastocyst is placed inside the woman’s body and we cross our fingers
In vitro, because the first time this was done was in a glass test tube – hence the term ‘in vitro’
The first test-tube baby was born in 1978 in England; before that, if you ejaculated into a cup, well, you ejaculated into a cup, but it had no consequences – it held no promise
So in practical terms
In practical terms
How does it work?
