La Honte
A university professor and his doctoral student spend an evening together and have a sexual relationship. Some time later, the student accuses her thesis supervisor of raping her. The university's disciplinary section appoints a commission to investigate the facts. Gradually, the word, shackled by university conventions and hierarchical ties, is set free.
This score for two actors and two to four actresses moves towards a shared truth about consent and sexual violence. It's an electric, poignant huis clos in which certainties are shattered, justice seems to be invented in front of us, and revolt deafly seeks its voice.
This book constitutes a critical edition of La Honte by its own author. Two variants are presented, which are all opportunities to question the meaning of the text and the diversity of its reception.
