La Chute infinie des soleils

In 1761, L'Utile, a frigate belonging to the French East India Company, ran aground on a small island in the Indian Ocean. From this event forgotten by history, Elemawusi Agbedjidji weaves a polyphonic narrative in which the letters of a repentant sailor intertwine with the testimony of a Malagasy woman abandoned on the island following the shipwreck. These two destinies are brought to life by Maël Mmadi, a student of theater and anthropology.
This rich historical epic poetically explores the themes of trauma and hope.
