In this, their first collaboration, director Cécile Vernet and author Simon Grangeat explore the decline of our intellectual capacities! From this observation, recently relayed by numerous documentaries based on some of the most serious scientific studies, they have created a comedy that is both light-hearted and grating. Through absurdity and zaniness, they project us into an imaginary future imaginary future. Humanity is now divided into two sub-species: the first, immortal, coupled with a whole range of bio-technological paraphernalia, physically and psychologically enhanced and therefore necessarily dominant; the second, miserably natural, with a ridiculous life expectancy and limited only to the capacities of an animal brain and a fallible body, absolutely dominated.
