This is Shakespeare's most mythical script. An absolute convergence of madness, love and poetry. Theater, produced here, in all its art, in all its mise en abîme, present behind every syllable, every situation, to embark us, from sign to sign, towards the summit of a pure poetic beyond. And that's what Hamlet's voracious representation of madness is all about. Here, the Bard seems to put aside his art of poetry in the service of the art of loving, and turn it to the service of the art of being mad. Behavioral opposition disorders, visual and auditory hallucinations, psychedelic melancholies are the order of the day. But also absurd wars waged by inordinate pride, violent and possessive loves, the assigned place of women in history, power narrative scams, abusive population controls - everything is there for us to find ourselves and lose ourselves forever. Ophelia will bury us all with a lesson in art brut from which we'll never recover. It's not just Hamlet that's subversive and insolent. It's Shakespeare, hiding as usual behind a thin screen, that you just have to move. Because in the theater, you move screens.
