In Calais, four young Afghan brothers are trying to reach England. Only the youngest of them, Abed, will survive. A musician in London, he sings of the fate of his three brothers who died at the border.
The play and its songs recount the conditions under which the exiles struggled to survive in the ‘jungle’ of 2009 – the bitter cold, hunger, uncertainty, violence – and England: that wild hope and the goal of so much sacrifice and suffering.
