Dans le couloir

To Eugène and Samuel, who, in the midst of the cruel 20th century, embodied the majesty of theater—which had the effect of inspiring a crowd of ignorant, illiterate people to write plays known as “the theater of the absurd” before realizing that it was not your theater that was absurd, but life itself. 
Please forgive me, gentlemen, that one of these misguided fools offers you this obscure corridor that leads only backstage. Please also forgive that this so-called corridor is merely yet another incarnation of your magical “Chairs” and your immortal “Godot.” 
To allow the two protagonists to wander about, I’ve stowed the chairs in the kitchen and tucked Godot away in his childhood bedroom. May this modest and obscure hallway serve as a token of my eternal gratitude and unwavering admiration,
