This is the story of 4 women: the dying Agnes, her 2 sisters Karin and Maria, and the servant Anna. Existential aspirations, the nostalgia of youth, the fear of living and dying, and their apparent inability to project themselves into the future form the inextricable fabric of this closed-door story. Video fragments retrace Agnès's ordeal and her irrepressible need to tell her story. Her inner power will shake those who survive her. This impending death triggers violent introspection on the part of the 2 sisters, revealing lies and sexual frustrations in numerous flashbacks. They reveal themselves to be terrified and disillusioned, muzzled into silence, walled in by their bourgeois servility and puritan morality.
