Blanche-Neige, histoire d'un Prince
The tale begins here, after the wedding, when the magic of the early days and the abundance of food are no more. It is the story of a couple whose relationship is withering away, just like the world itself. With climate change and globalisation, fairy tales are blending together, and so are the words. Snow White no longer allows herself to be told a story and dreams of freedom – and why not a relationship with Donkey Skin and/or with Mr Seguin, who killed the last wolf? The 101 dwarves are exploited. Scully-Dully expresses herself only through dance. Snow White seeks advice from the Moon, who, though depressed and irritated, gives her an apple and the accompanying prophecy: If Snow White bites into the apple, the planet will rise again but the prince will die. If she does not bite into it, her love for the prince will be rekindled but the grass will not grow back, and the water will no longer flow…
Will she save the prince or the treeless kingdom with its flattened mountains?
