Avalanche

Fearing the natural danger of avalanches, a small village surrounded by mountains spends nine months of the year frozen in a deathly silence imposed on the inhabitants by strict regulations, in order to ensure the survival of the entire community. One family finds itself facing the most dreaded scenario: the young daughter-in-law is about to give birth before her due date. Her cries and those of the newborn risk triggering a catastrophe … Avalanche thus provides the author with a setting in which to explore the quest for freedom and the virtues of resistance.
