What remains

As the world falls apart, a film crew finds itself trapped in a movie studio. Escaping from beneath the shattered set, they embark on a series of absurd actions, which finally make sense when we realize that this is an attempt to remember, to recreate nature using the materials at their disposal, and thus to build a new starting point. Multidisciplinary artist Cille Lansade challenges the conventions of contemporary circus by inventing a form of physical and fantastical theater. She brings together acrobats, dancers, musicians, actors, and technicians, blending video art and cinematic illusions with live music, object theater, dance, and circus. Presented in partnership with Cirq’ônflex as part of the Prise de CirQ’ festival, *What Remains* is a post-apocalyptic tale—akin to a visual installation and resolutely optimistic—that invites us to believe in the extraordinary, in the collective, and in the wildness of the body.
