Une vie
The guest is an internationally renowned artist whose style borders on the figurative. Exchanges with the interviewer free thought, accept silences. This encounter is a return to the sources of creation, but also of the guest's life and the recurring figures in his work: faces, pleasure, flowers with a thousand names... The people he evokes take on flesh and converse with him: the invasive mother now deceased, the hated and hating brother, the first love woman-mistress painted a hundred times, the child he was or even the Devil, his best friend...
In nine tableaux, this attempt to recompose a life is also a sublimation of language, which Pascal Rambert defends by always favoring an intimate relationship with those who embody it: "I don't write about the actors' private lives, I write for their voices, their bodies, their energy," he explains, "they are human beings, not paper characters". In direct contact with the concrete, this theater assures us of its strength by developing a plasticity of time, a porosity between art and life.
