Stars

The artistic complicity that binds French author and director Pascal Rambert to the Comédie de Genève grows stronger with each new creation. For STARs, he gathers the words of six "anonymous" men and women working in the so-called service professions, those invisible yet oh-so-essential jobs. These "stars of everyday life", as Pascal Rambert calls them, are invited on stage to tell their stories in a benevolent face-to-face with actors, while in counterpoint an astrophysicist introduces us to the mysteries of the cosmos.

What we see of a star in the sky is in reality only the trace of its past. STARs is a forum for rethinking and sometimes repairing the past, through storytelling. With modesty, without complacency or pathos, the emotion of these poetic duets strengthens the links in our great human chain.
