Spiegelneuronen (Neurones miroirs)
Pièce documentaire dansante
Emotions, laughter, yawning, certain movements have a contagious effect. In neuroscience, it is assumed that certain processes in the brain produce mirror effects that could be a key to explaining empathy and mutual understanding. Stefan Kaegi sets up a giant mirror on stage, in which you see yourself and the entire audience as if in a giant selfie. Gradually, you set yourself in motion, the moving image becomes collective - a metaphor for the human brain and the relationship between the individual and the community, commented on by the voices of female neuroscience researchers: immersive, dance-based documentary theater with performers from the company of German choreographer Sasha Waltz.
