Santa Park

All theatrical art is about creatures. Ambre Kahan has been confronting and enjoying this since Ivan Viripaev's Ivres and Goliarda Sapienza's iconic novel, already presented at Les Célestins where she is associate artist. For SANTA PARK, she goes back to childhood and what remains of the first period of our lives. Books read and reread, films seen long before we were old enough, the first cries, the fears of first times... In a cabin set in the heart of an abandoned funfair, on the edge of a burnt-out wood, she brings together the living and the dead. Too often kept at a distance, our ancestors are rehabilitated here in the run-up to Christmas. On a night that could be eternity, these creatures meet and form a group to overcome their solitude. Ambre Kahan aspires to create a theater of "horror", like the cinema of the same genre, but aimed at children.
To explore the figure of the monster, imagination is at the heart of this work, tinged with tenderness. Mission: explore childhood fears that paralyze as much as they liberate!
