Reconstitution

The story is simple and true. Audrey Bonnet and I came to perform Clôture de l'amour at the Panta theater in February 2015. I didn't know Veronique. Nor Guy. For several seasons, Pauline Roussille, my production manager had been saying, "There are people at the Panta théâtre in Caen who would like Clôture. We should find a time to go there." Which we did. I loved that time at the Panta. We all had dinner together. I liked it because it was good and we dined under the bleachers - almost - of the stage where we play. I really liked that. A few weeks later in Mexico City I met Veronique and Guy's son, who asked me to autograph Clôture de l'amour for them. Which I do. We return with Audrey Bonnet in April 2016 to perform - it's, I must say, the only place we'll have done it - Clôture de l'amour again. Same warmth. Same audience. Same meal. Same joy. When Veronique asked me to write for them I said yes. So I'm writing for Veronique and Guy Reconstitution. I know it's about two people who have loved each other coming together to try to reconstruct the moment they met and the consequences that encounter has had on their lives to this day. It's best to come and see. Because talking about a play beforehand - that's never good.
