Prométhée la révolte
Based on *L’Oiseau de Prométhée*, directed by Estelle Savasta, Brice Berthoud, and Camille Trouvé. To tell children the myth of Prometheus, who gave fire to humans against the gods’ wishes, the flamboyant puppets of *Les Anges au plafond* come together with the words of author Estelle Savasta. And a wind of rebellion rises against all injustices!
When the story begins, humans and gods live together in harmony, according to the rules established by Zeus, the god of gods. Every year, during a grand banquet, food is distributed according to an unchanging ritual: the best cuts for the gods, the leftovers for mortals. The demigod Prometheus cannot bear such injustice and devises a ruse to allow humanity to finally eat their fill. But it is not without risk, and once discovered, the punishment will be final. How is wealth shared at the banquet table? Who are the powerful? Who are the left behind? Children are not oblivious to the questions raised by this famous myth and will quickly draw parallels with today’s world. A thought-provoking performance that—why not?—might inspire action?
