Prendre soin

Ajouter à mes favoris

In the middle of the night, in an industrial butcher's shop, five cleaners meet for the first time. During their breaks, they chat, read a newspaper, drink a coffee before leaving for another mission or returning home in the early hours. They are the pawns of an economic system marked by the casualization of work, between subcontracting, temporary work and short contracts.
Author and director Alexander Zeldin offers a French version of his play, the first part of a trilogy on inequality. In a very sober set design, he gives full rein to the actors and actresses. Like his previous play Love presented at Les Célestins, but also certain films by Aki Kaurismäki or Ken Loach, Prendre soin reveals that, even in the depths of misery, friendship and solidarity are not extinguished. And then, life rushes onto the set with rage, humor and infinite humanity.
