Passage du convoi cette nuit
Version for string quartet and voices.
It is summer, and a young girl, Dina, sets off on a four-day holiday alone with her mentally disabled mother to a hamlet near an aeroplane factory. There she meets two young people her own age, Samuel and Solène, with whom she forms a bond. The three children believe they have found a way to cure Dina’s mother. On the night they decide to carry out their dangerous plan, they are stopped at the last minute by the parents of her two new friends. In the end, it’s not so bad to have a bit of emptiness inside you!
Through this deeply poetic form, the play tackles issues of invisible disability, inclusion, difference and the role of child carers. It explores our ability to live together, to create spaces for dialogue and care in the face of human frailties. The company’s aim is to present a production that fosters a genuine connection with the audience, particularly young spectators, through sensitive and contemporary language.
