Par les bouches
Par les bouches is the third part of the culinary triptych by compagnie Dérézo. It's a show staged around a most singular meal where two performers-cooks-toqués invite you into their kitchen. Around a large wooden counter in the shape of a giant mouth, forty of you are seated and preparing to hear a culinary story, between birth and death, of that organ we all have but rarely talk about: the mouth! This ingenious orifice, cradle of song and speech as well as kissing and smiling, through which air, dentist's tools and food enter and exit, already conjures up the long metaphorical litany of "mouth watering", "double the bites", "fine mouthing", "à bouche que veux-tu", "turning your tongue seven times in your mouth", and so on.
Designed in complicity with culinary author Miske Alhaouthou, food and drink create a gustatory landscape, magnified by texts from both the classical and contemporary repertoires, at the service of this theatrical journey. Drawing mischievously on sociology, psychoanalysis, ethnology and poetry, this one-hour parenthesis, set against a chiselled scenography, is dedicated to taste and listening, re-tuning, to our delight, those two instruments of the music of our bodies: our mouths and our ears!
