Trained in classical dance and circus, Catol Teixeira is a rising figure in young choreographic creation. Taking an introspective look, the artist probes the reverse side of her trajectory, dedicates an Ode to what fails and transforms the experience of mourning into support for the future.

"I dance in transition and conceive my performances as invocations." Choreographer, Catol Teixeira declines her creations as so many sensitive metaphors of the queer question. In the image of Arrebentação, a recent show whose title refers to the limit where oceanic breakers break, spaces of rupture and transition feed her poetics. Dedicated to what remains in us after a failure, this solo performance is yet another illustration of this. Undoubtedly, a choice format for experiencing the intensity of her presence and gesture.
