Mirage
The expressiveness and flawless technique of the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève are no longer a secret to Lyon audiences. But this is the first time they will have the opportunity to discover it in a creation co-created by choreographer Damien Jalet and sculptor-scenographer Kohei Nawa. The fourth part of a long-term collaboration between the two artists, Mirage features a new confrontation between man and matter. In a universe of grandiose plasticity, set to music by Thomas Bangalter, sixteen performers lend their bodies to the most unpredictable metamorphoses, blending into the metallic hues of insects or the colors found in the heart of a luxuriant forest. Spectres of a civilization in perdition, the dancers portray a humanity seeking to reinvent itself.
