Léviathan

Created after a long immersion at the heart of the penal system, particularly immediate appearance procedures, Leviathan questions the justness of institutional justice. In collaboration with author Guillaume Poix, Lorraine de Sagazan draws on the practices of so-called transformative justice and other alternatives to the traditional judge-punish-enclose scheme. Under a big top set up like a makeshift tribunal, echoing the installation presented at the Collection Lambert, Léviathan seeks to understand - beyond good and evil - the links between the legal system and the inequalities that govern our society, turning certain obvious facts on their head in the process.
