Through movement and speech, two artists – one an actress, the other a dancer – engage in a dialogue as if investigating traumas buried by a code of silence. Bruno Bouché and Romain Gneouchev present an artistic performance of rare delicacy, which relies first and foremost on light.

Breaking the silence. But how does one go about it? And after so many years of suffering and searching for a way to heal, what remains to be said? To support him in this eminently intimate artistic project, the choreographer Bruno Bouché called upon the writer and director Romain Gneouchev. Together, they have explored the shadows and, above all, sought out the light to create a refined and transparent form. On stage, the actress Clémence Boué joins the dancer, embodying a voice seeking to break free. Together, they question one another, without tackling the subject head-on, but rather by being cunning, playing with truth and falsehood, the conscious and the unconscious. And then dance—that strangely silent language to which Bruno Bouché has decided to devote his life—emerges with its own answers. It asserts, with modesty and strength, that survival does not depend solely on words: it is, above all, a matter of the body. With L’Été, art – be it dance or theatre – reiterates what needs to be heard anew, bearing witness to a systemic evil that must never again be silenced.
