LES VAGUES
With Les Vagues, a piece for six dancers and two musicians from the ensemble Ictus, Noé Soulier proposes a perceptive and memorial labyrinth of suspended movements, worked by the rhythm of percussion.
Created in 2018, this piece brings together its eight performers in a choreographic and musical composition centered on momentum, phrasing and rhythm. The expressiveness of gesture and sound reinforce each other to create a bodily experience that echoes Virginia Woolf's visceral writing. Over the past eight years, Les Vagues has toured France and Europe, before being exported to Japan in 2024 and New York in 2026. On the occasion of this U.S. revival, the Cndc invites Angevin audiences to discover this emblematic piece of Noé Soulier's writing.
