Les Inepties volantes
Once upon a time, there was a civil war, one of many, as terrifying and destructive as all the others. It was in 1997 in Congo-Brazzaville. It lasted several years, almost three. Dieudonné Niangouna lived it in his flesh and in his spirit. Today, he can finally deliver a text on the subject, a text he kept hidden for a long time, convinced as he was that all survivors can only be cowards because they didn't die as heroes. A "heap of nonsense", one of which - Les Barricades - is at the heart of this duet of words and music that takes us on a journey into tragedy, a journey into unreality, a journey into an elsewhere we'd rather not know. It's also a journey of reconstruction, as the author-conteur Niangouna writes and performs to bring these moments of violence and fear back to life, shouting them out. To the "living reader" he addresses, he transmits a transfigured experience that might seem fictional, were it not for the bomb-like effect it has on those lucky enough to have escaped the shattering and often irrational adventure that is war. Dieudonné Niangouna shares this journey into hell with Pascal Contet, an outstanding figure in contemporary music, capable of making his accordion a character in its own right, accompanying howls as well as murmurs, and becoming a partner in suffering.
