Le Mensonge
Faute dansée, à moitié pardonnée
This is the story of a little girl who lies one evening at the dinner table. When she goes to her room, she finds her lie in the form of a red circle that will invade her as the days go by, even preventing her from breathing properly. Adapting the children's album Le Mensonge, Catherine Dreyfus combines dance, circus, mime and an ultra-astute visual universe. She draws us into the world of a little girl who, unable to shake off her inner battle, lets her body do the talking. Will her parents listen? Imbued with strangeness, humor and modesty, this story told from a child's perspective reveals a radiant beauty of happiness.
